Overview
FudanUniversity has launched the Fudan Scholar Program in the beginning of2016, which welcomes outstanding scholars overseas to Shanghai foron-campus academic exchange with Fudan colleagues. The programaccepts around 50 scholars annually, who come from variousbackgrounds of sciences, engineering, medicine and humanities.Divided into 3 levels, i.e., Honorary Fudan Scholar, DistinguishedFudan Scholar, and Fudan Scholar, the program provides an excellentenvironment for scholarly research. In forms of workshop, lecture,seminar, class, etc., it aims to facilitate interaction betweeninternational scholars and the colleagues and students in FudanUniversity and bring out the fullest intellectual and creativepotentials.
Eligibility
◾Theapplicants who have won Nobel Prize, Turing award, Fields Medal, orother same-level awards, are suggested applying for Honorary FudanScholar.
◾Theapplicants who have been recommended for having the potential to winthe aforementioned awards, including academicians of a country/regionor distinguished scientists winning the same-level honors, aresuggested applying for Distinguished Fudan Scholar.
◾Theapplicants who are less than 35 years old and have prominentscientific research potential, such as post-doctors, are suggestedapplying for Fudan Scholar.
◾Theapplicants who have the experience of working in a government orinternational organizations, famous enterprises, as well as theability of advanced scholarly exchange and research, are suggestedapplying for suitable levels based on their personal conditions.
Allowances& Services
◾Around trip air ticket is provided in accordance with FDIASregulations.
◾Amonthly stipend determined by FDIAS regulations.
◾Designatedaccommodation, facilities, and offices.
Wewelcome financial and other supports from colleges and departments aswell. Allowances vary according to the applied level of the scholar.
