The China-ASEAN(Association of Southeast Asian Nations) University Consortium on Medicine and Health is an international cooperation platform related to non-profit medical education, scientific research, and health services established by universities in China and ASEAN countries. The Consortium aims to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between medical universities and health institutions in China and different ASEAN countries in the fields of medical education, research and health care; promote the development of regional medical education and research; improve the level of health care and make contributions to improving the health of the entire region.

As a governing unit and member of the Consortium, Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University will actively assist the Alliance in achieving the following functions:

 {1} Build a Platform in the fields of medical education, scientific research, and health care, withShanghai Medical College aiming to integrate the resources of member units of the Consortium, leverage their advantages, and share experiences; 

{2} Actively promote cooperation and innovation among member units, jointly research new problems in fields and explore solutions. Actively organize and support member units to carry out joint medical research projects and focus on promoting patent application, providing support and services for innovativetechnology promotion and application; and 

{3} Through the platform, Shanghai Medical College aims to organize member units to apply for corresponding fund projects, expand funding channels, and provide protection for the sustainable development of the Consortium.
