The Association of Sino-Russian Medical Universities (ASRMU) was established in 2014 on the initiative of Sechenov University and Harbin Medical University. Today, it is composed of 92 medical universities and is the largest and extensive alliance between Chinese and Russian Universities that exists between the two countries. The purpose of the ASMRU is to develop the health care system in China and Russia and expand the cooperative efforts between medical organizations in both countries.
Over the past several years since it has joined the Association of Sino-Russian Medical Universities (ASMRU), Fudan University has aimed to promote Sino-Russian medical exchange , establish closer contacts with Russian Medical Universities to help develop this program further and expand scientific research cooperation between Fudan University and various Russian Medical Universities .
