On June 2, 2022, the first Fudan University- Sechenov University joint meeting on international cooperation was held online. The meeting was co-chaired by Prof. Lian Lu, Director of Office of Global Partnerships, Fudan University, and Prof. Dmitry Enikeev, Head of International Office, Sechenov University.
Attending scholars from Fudan University and Shanghai Medical College included Prof. Xianhong Shu, Director of Echocardiography Department in Zhongshan Hospital; Director Xiaohua Wu, Dr. Qinhao Guo, and Dr. Jun Zhu from Gynecology Department, Shanghai Cancer Center; Prof. Yijun Shen and Dr. Yuanyuan Qu from Department of Urology, Shanghai Cancer Center; Prof. Chen Ding, Vice Dean, Human Phenome Institute; Prof. Steven X. Hou, Chair, Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, the School of Life Sciences. Scholars from the Center for Digital Bio-design and Personalized Healthcare, Sechenov University are Prof. Marina Sekacheva, Director of the Institute for Personalized Oncology; Prof. Philipp Kopylov, Director of the Institute for Personalized Cardiology, Assoc. Prof. Yuri Efremov and Junior Research Fellow Ms. Polina Bikmulina.
Other attendees were Ms. Xu Yefang, Deputy Director and Ms. Xiao Chen from the Office of Global Partnerships, Fudan University, Dr. Hongyang Xu, and Ms. Xi Wang from the Office of International Cooperation, Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University.
First, Prof. Lian Lu and Prof. Dmitry Enikeev made opening remarks. Ms. Xiao Chen, Dr. Xu Hongyang, and Liubov Zaytseva introduced the history, education, research, and international cooperation of Fudan University, Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, and Sechenov University, respectively. Nine professors, physicians, and researchers introduced their research achievements and plans in cardiology, oncology, life sciences, and phenomics, expressing their willingness to cooperate.
Finally, the representatives of both sides summarized the meeting and expressed their willingness to expand the scope of exchange and cooperation with the projects based on common interests.
