Program Overview
Fudan University is among the 30 universities in China approved by the Ministry of Education to admit International Students in English-taught Undergraduate programs in Medicine . Starting from fall 2008, in order to promote international education and cooperation, Fudan University began to enroll International Students in the 6-year Undergraduate Program of Clinical Medicine (MBBS).
The aim of the program is to cultivate high-quality medical graduates with solid medical knowledge, clinical skills and professionalism, while at the same time taking into consideration their possible needs to work in countries outside China. Graduates of the program will be able to work in medical and health institutions and make valuable contributions to patient care, education and research throughout the world.
The program will be fully taught in English and will follow the principles of consolidating academic knowledge, emphasize basic skills, interdisciplinary research and clinical practice. Excellent students will have the opportunity to participate in overseas clinical practice projects. After completing the required credits, students will receive a diploma from Fudan University and qualified students will receive a degree in ‘Bachelor of Medicine and the Bachelor of Surgery’ (MBBS). Graduates will have the opportunity to register for the medical license examination according to the requirements of the relevant regulatory authorities in the country where they choose to practice.
