On October 23, a delegation led by Dean Chong Yap Seng of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS) visited Fudan University Shanghai Medical College (SHMC). They were received by Jin Li, President of Fudan University and Dean of Shanghai Medical College; Wu Fan, Vice Dean; and Xu Jun, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean. Both sides discussed potential future collaborations in integrative Chinese and Western medicine and intelligent medicine, including faculty and student exchanges, talent cultivation, and scientific research cooperation.
Jin Li extended a warm welcome on behalf of SHMC to the visiting NUS delegation. Xu Hongyang, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation, introduced SHMC’s platform development and international cooperation initiatives. She reviewed the history of teaching and research collaboration between the two institutions and expressed hopes for further strengthening academic cooperation and faculty–student exchanges.
Dean Chong Yap Seng spoke highly of the longstanding exchanges between the two medical schools and conveyed full confidence in deepening collaboration. Associate Dean Lau Tang Ching of the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine presented an overview of the school’s departmental structure, medical services, and medical ecosystem development. He also shared the school’s vision for cooperation in areas such as medical talent cultivation, student exchange programs, and joint research projects.
